The following programs work with a touch -screen. They can all be setup with different background colors, they can be made more or less sensitive (responding to click or to 'mouse over' events) and always provide success. They teach letter and word recognition for the student with limited coordination, the whole screen is available as a "button".

In this program, a single, capital letter is shown, with a choice of two lower case letters, one of which matches the uppercase letter. The correct answer is randomly placed to the left or right of the screen. When the student touches the correct lower case letter, they are rewarded with sight and sound to reinforce the letter. If they touch the wrong letter it will beep, if they touch the capital letter it will say the letter. You can select to turn off the beep, make 'Mouse Over" activate the response; show the letters in random order or in alphabetical order; and change the color of the letters

Set the program up with the students name, and photo
For Example:
The student clicks on their name to get to the next level
Now each letter is shown in turn, taking up half the screen. When the student touches the letter they are rewarded with sight and sound (e.g. "M for Monkey"), before jumping to the next letter

When they have spelled the whole name their name and picture pops up. In this way they learn the spelling of their name, learn the shape and sounds of the letters and enjoy success every time. You can repeat with any word and picture combination

This program presents set of rhyming words with their pictures. You can put in your own words and pictures. As the student touches each word/picture, the word is spoken

This takes Rhyming Fun one step further to produce a sentence from the two rhyming words. The student must touch each word to get the computer to "speak" the sentence and see it pictured:
